RN Ambulatory – Urology, Multi-Specialty Clinic Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital and experience world-class healthcare at its best. In the Urology Department within the Multi-Specialty Clinic, you will provide professional nursing care to a specified group of patients in ambulatory settings, interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience and provide healthcare information as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.

Administer medications and treatments.

Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.

Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.

Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and use of specialized patient care equipment.

Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.

Cover other nursing roles within the department.

May require travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures in various locations.

Minimum qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through AHA within six months of hire.

One year of recent RN or equivalent clinical healthcare experience, including options for current Cleveland Clinic caregivers transferring within ambulatory settings or within the same specialty area.

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Experience in Urology.

Physical Requirements

Full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

Corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

May require exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently; may involve standing or walking for significant portions of the day.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows Standard Precautions and uses appropriate PPE for procedures.

This is a regular PRN position with shifts that may vary between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. depending on scheduling needs.
