Urgent Care Physician Assistant - Per Diem
GoHealth Urgent Care in partnership with Hartford HealthCare is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners with urgent care or emergency room experience to join our team in the Torrington and surrounding region on a per diem basis.
Location: Torrington, CT. Per diem travel to up to 41 Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care locations within CT may be required.
Overview We are looking for PAs and NPs who treat both adult and pediatric patients in urgent care or emergency settings. The role involves delivering timely, high-quality clinical care in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
Provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections.
Assess patients to recognize more serious conditions and direct them to the emergency department for advanced care when necessary while maintaining a high standard of patient experience.
Qualifications
Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification is required.
Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and ANCC or AANP Certification is required.
Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
Experienced in treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages).
Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints) and preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
Licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN or FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
