In this role, you will function as a TEG ( thromboelastography ) product line
Clinical Specialist
to the customer and effectively drive utilization and expansion of the TEG product line at existing customer sites within a defined territory. You will support ongoing account management sales processes through clinical education and ongoing case support in all existing and potential areas of operation and clinical utilization within the customer site. You will grow sales in existing accounts (organic growth) and support new accounts (go-lives) with a growth mindset. This role will require up to 25% overnight travel. Ideal candidates will be located within approximately 45 minutes of a major airport. This role is remote with travel from the above designated territory. Candidates need to currently reside within the Louisville, KY territory. Essential Duties:
Territory management for existing TEG customer base. Increase product usage at existing accounts and expand customer base through clinical education of new users and generate revenue growth. Ensure customers are able to independently, safely, and efficiently operate TEG equipment, software, and related disposables, as well as interpret TEG results in various applications. Train new and existing customers on all product and clinical aspects of the TEG line. Provide summaries of training sessions and follow-up support as needed through onsite visits in areas such as lab, critical care, and OR. Provide clinical expertise to help ensure our TEG product line reaches standard of care levels within the account, leveraging CRM tools and market data. Help drive and expand existing business by broadening the application of TEG within the account, achieving annual sales targets, and ensuring maximum utilization of assays and software updates through relationship building, education, case support, and market development events. Visit hospital accounts, identify and train clinical champions, and establish relationships with key decision-makers. Provide dedicated onsite support for new TEG customers during implementation, including all shifts and areas of use, with after-hours support as needed. Resolve technical, operational, and clinical concerns through investigation and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in conferences. Maintain records within CRM on responsibilities and customer interactions. Support VAD/ECMO, Trauma, CV, High-Risk Obstetrics, Liver Transplant, Vascular, and Critical Care clinicians in their use of TEG. Assist customers in tailoring training materials and needs. Understand the competitive landscape and convert existing accounts to TEG business. Collaborate with Account Managers to target expansion opportunities and forecast revenue during planning and meetings. Support regional and national tradeshows. Drive demand for device and software upgrades and additional devices. Work with the Implementation team during laboratory setup, including training, validation, SOP development, and logistics support. Develop relationships at multiple levels, including C-level, within the territory. Participate in product development, market needs assessments, and provide feedback to sales, marketing, and R&D teams. Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (RN) or related clinical field (Required). Master's degree in Arts, Science, or Business Administration (Preferred). 3+ years of industry or clinical experience, preferably in complex medical devices or critical care environments, such as ICU, CICU, ER, trauma, etc. Experience operating the TEG Analyzer, understanding its application, and software manipulation is preferred.
