The Clinician is responsible for delivery of clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, planning, case management, consultation, crisis intervention and collateral treatment to Western Youth Services clients at school sites.

Responsibilities

The Clinician must meet all regulatory and agency requirements regarding the documentation of clinical services delivered within clinical care and resource coordination and staying in compliance with the school district policies.

Effectively present information orally and in writing in one-on-one, small group and large group settings, including the ability to effectively respond to questions from small and large groups of employees or clients at a school site.

Teamwork is required specifically within a multidisciplinary team of school, mental health, and social service staff to ensure services are delivered in an effective, culturally sensitive, and collaborative manner.

School-based Clinicians are expected to deliver clinical services to clients in the school and/or in the community as needed.

Awareness of contract and program obligations and proactively prioritize time to meet or exceed these program obligations.

Required to provide minimum direct service hours per contract requirements.

Timely submission of documentation per agency expectations; and assessment/management of clinical risk.

Travel required among schools in the district and within the community, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or other related field; and active registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate MFT or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

Two years of directly related experience working with adolescents, children, and their families.

Some knowledge of community resources, case management processes, community outreach and program planning.

Ability to write clear and concise reports, with conformance to prescribed style and form, and perform chart reviews.

Ability to work independently in the field.

Ability to represent the agency professionally with stakeholders.

Ability to effectively present information orally and in writing in one-on-one, small group and large group settings, including the ability to effectively respond to questions from small and large groups of employees or clients.

Knowledge of Medi‑Cal/Cal‑AIM documentation and familiarity with EXYM strongly preferred.

Bilingual fluency in both Spanish and English is strongly preferred.

Salary Salary pay rate from $70,824.00 to $74,365.00. The actual salary may vary based on experience, equity, market, and Agency considerations.
