Board Eligible Prosthetist Orthotist
for our Modesto, CA Patient Care Facility. This individual will be responsible for the evaluation, fabrication, and custom fitting of artificial limbs and orthopedic braces, and will design and fit artificial limbs and orthopedic braces, while supervising and working with a dynamic team. Salary Range:
$60,000 - $70,000 All Full-Time positions offer the following:

Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs and factors affecting fit. Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients; make adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort. Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses and prostheses. Design orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on physicians' prescriptions and patient measurements. Maintain patients' records in accordance with ABC and CMS standards. Make and modify plaster casts for devices in the construction process. Select materials and components based on device design. Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthopedic and prosthetic devices. Repair, rebuild, and modify prosthetic and orthopedic appliances. Construct and fabricate appliances or supervise others who are constructing them. Train and supervise orthopedic and prosthetic assistants and technicians, including COF. Update skills by attending conferences and seminars; show and explain appliances to healthcare workers. Maintain inventory of materials at main and satellite locations. Qualifications
Must have completed a residency program accredited by NCOPE. Must have completed a master's degree in prosthetics from a program accredited by CAAHEP. Must maintain CMEs annually in accordance with ABC and BOC guidelines. Must practice within scope of work unless privileged by a supervisor; adhere to the employee handbook. Must attend HIPAA, sexual harassment, and universal precautions training. Must have additional licensing if required by state law; maintain compliance with ABC facility accreditation. Willingness to lead or participate with facility support staff in annual performance reviews; mandatory attendance at Pacific Medical hosted trainings. Details
