Position Summary
Solvet Services is seeking 2 Fulltime Computed Tomography (CT) Tech at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, IA. This is a travel position located in Iowa City, IA (Seeking Candidate for up to 26 week contract, ideal candidate would be for 1 year.) Compensation: $70.00 per hour, plus $28.35 per hour per diem for 40 hours per week. On-Call rate of $7.00 per hour, $105.00 per hour for call back and OT rate. Duties
Perform computerized tomography of the head, neck, spine, chest, and body. Determine technical factors, positioning, number, and thickness of scans, etc., to produce and satisfy the requirements of CT scanning. Perform all procedures relating to all general CT exams and more complex exams such as CTA coronary, abdominal and neuro, exams. Advise radiologists of examination results and notify radiologists of scans requiring their immediate attention. American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R) certification is required. Advanced ARRT CT certification is required for assignments that include computed tomography. A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience is required. Key Responsibilities
Perform CT examinations using appropriate imaging protocols to provide diagnostic-quality images. Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to VA and radiology standards. Follow physician orders, verify patient identification, and explain procedures clearly to patients. Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program. American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R) certification is required. Advanced ARRT CT certification is required for assignments that include computed tomography. A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association). Schedule
7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (eight-hour shifts with possible start times ranging between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.). On-call at all times outside of normal clinic hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays. On-Call rotates every other weekend starting Friday @ 7pm to Monday @ 8am
