Job Description
The Clinical Specialist provides clinical support and education for BD Medication Delivery Solutions. The role executes clinical programs that differentiate the MDS portfolio, improve outcomes, and reduce cost‑in‑use. The specialist engages in conversion management, product implementation, and training of Medication Delivery Solutions products, while reporting directly to a Clinical Manager and primarily serving a geographically defined territory.
Key Responsibilities
Manage travel and expense budget for regional training activities.
Facilitate customer training classes to support conversion or retention opportunities.
Collaborate with the Regional Team to provide clinical support from pre‑sale through post‑conversion.
Develop strong relationships with end‑users while providing product in‑servicing and clinical education.
Provide routine follow‑up support to customers at end‑user locations as needed.
Conduct regional training for contractual nursing support as required.
Optimize scheduling and activities with the Clinical Manager and Regional Business Manager for maximum results.
Conduct Vascular Access Management assessment programs to support Vascular Care and Vascular Access sales organizations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent clinical experience.
Minimum five (5) years general clinical nursing experience, including at least three (3) years related to infusion therapy, vascular access, or MDS products.
Experience with ultrasound‑guided vascular access device placement.
Proven ability to train and educate clinical staff.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with at least three consecutive years of driving history; meets company auto safety standards.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) or VA‑BC (Vascular Access Board Certification).
