Your role supports Leybold’s mission to deliver cutting-edge, sustainable technology and top-level service globally. In this high-impact position, you’ll help clients boost process efficiency by designing and delivering Leybold service solutions, collaborating with engineers and account managers to teach clients how to extend equipment life using the VTS Service Ladder. Key Responsibilities
Split time between home office and on-site visits to advanced factories, promoting the VTS Service Ladder. Sell service products by identifying failure modes and offering solutions to reduce downtime and maximize cost of ownership. Support all markets: metallurgy, architectural glass, energy physics, food tech, aerospace, EV, freeze drying, SiC, ceramics, and more. Expand business in assigned region by growing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities. Provide technical support, service, and product guidance to delight customers. Maintain company assets (car, computer, demo units, consignment stock). Lead service sales efforts across Leybold’s product range. Collaborate with equipment sales team to secure repeat orders and position service as a differentiator. Prepare and deliver service presentations. Focus on new business: unserviced pumps, lost accounts, due-for-service units, new installs, and competitor equipment. Analyze customer needs and coordinate with internal teams to deliver complete vacuum after-sales solutions. Education, Skills, and Qualifications
Degree in engineering, science, or equivalent technical experience. Proven ability to self-generate leads via cold calling, research, networking, and territory development. On-site, customer-facing experience. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication. Able to learn and convey technical concepts clearly. Skilled in creating tailored solutions by leveraging internal technical resources. Collaborative and engaging team player. Able to shift focus and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Other Requirements / Preferred Traits
Sales-driven mindset with technical operations or rotating equipment background. High energy, curious, and results-oriented. Quick learner with creative problem-solving skills. Military veterans encouraged to apply. Self-starter comfortable working from a home office. Mechanical, vacuum, or fluid systems knowledge is a plus. Valid driver’s license required.
