The Architectural Assistant Project Manager will provide overall project support and task management assistance to the Project Manager (PM) and Senior Project Manager (SPM) on individual projects. Under general supervision, the Assistant Project Manager will participate in programming, preliminary design, drafting complete architectural working drawings, estimating, permitting, and overseeing comprehensive construction and renovation projects. The primary goal of the APM is to perform tasks and assist the PM and SPM in all project aspects to develop their skills towards managing their own projects. Client coordination and communication with internal and external project teams are essential responsibilities for this role. Activities & Responsibilities

Promote DDG's core values internally and externally, and comply with the company manual. Achieve project objectives by collaborating closely with AutoCAD Operators, PM, and SPM daily. Assist in managing client needs, project scopes, budgets, support personnel, and schedules. Coordinate communication with client representatives and external project team members. Respond promptly to client requests, as directed by the PM. Be flexible to work outside normal hours as needed in a client-driven business. Take initiative to support project team goals and improve management processes. Gather basic architectural data from documents, occupant interviews, and field measurements. Conduct field measurements and observations for renovations, new construction, and space management. Assist in preparing cost estimates and project budgets. Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and staff to coordinate project production. Prepare preliminary design sketches and select materials and colors as needed. Develop complete architectural drawings and permit documents for review and approval. Check plans and details before final review by the Architectural Project Manager. Review engineering plans for conflicts and work with consultants to resolve issues. Monitor construction progress via site visits and discussions. Review contractor submittals for compliance with documents. Maintain project files, including submittals, change orders, and modifications. Draft correspondence related to all project phases. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to analyze construction needs and propose solutions. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Knowledge of building design, construction principles, and standards. Understanding of architectural materials and energy conservation principles. Ability to investigate and analyze information effectively. Familiarity with building codes and permit processes. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to read and interpret various technical drawings. Experience in field data collection and documentation. Qualifications

Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited institution. 0-3+ years of experience in architectural projects. Path toward professional licensure preferred. Experience with local permitting processes is a plus. Revit experience preferred. Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods; ability to operate a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Travel to project sites required. EEO Statement
