at Ruby Memorial Hospital. We are seeking a dedicated professional to assist in treatment planning, dosimetry, calibration, and radiation safety. Minimum Qualifications
Master of Science in Physics, Radiation Physics, or equivalent Certification in therapeutic radiological physics must be obtained within 3 years of hire Core Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with treatment planning, including development of computerized plans and dosimetry for isotopes used in Brachytherapy Oversee ionizing radiation use to ensure compliance with regulations; update safety procedures and monitor film badge records Calibrate X-ray equipment, perform radiation protection surveys, and manage radioactive materials licenses Provide calibration and accountability of sealed sources and isotopes, ensuring safety and compliance Support patient setup, review radiotherapy charts, and collaborate on tumor localization procedures Calibrate therapy machines and work with the team to develop new treatment methods Maintain professional relationships and ensure effective communication within the department Physical and Working Environment
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, maneuvering in narrow spaces, and communicating effectively. The environment involves exposure to radiation, biological materials, chemicals, and high-stress situations. Additional Details
