Chassis Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chassis Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and integration of chassis systems, including suspension, steering, brakes, and frame components. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for automotive/mechanical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize chassis systems, including suspension, steering, braking, and structural components.
Perform component and system‑level calculations, simulations, and FEA to validate designs.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including vehicle dynamics, packaging, manufacturing, and suppliers, to ensure optimal integration and performance.
Develop technical specifications, drawings, DFMEAs, and validation plans for chassis systems.
Lead or support prototype build phases, testing, and validation of chassis components and systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to chassis design and performance.
Ensure all designs meet regulatory, safety, cost, weight, and performance targets.
Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure DFM/DFA best practices.
Support continuous improvement activities and design changes throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree (B.E./B.Tech) or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
Minimum [3 7] years of experience in chassis systems engineering or related domain.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks) and CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, HyperWorks).
Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
Experience with validation testing and failure analysis of chassis components.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (SAE, FMVSS, ISO, etc.).
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
Experience working in a fast‑paced product development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master s degree in Engineering or specialization in automotive systems.
Experience with electrified powertrains or lightweight chassis design.
Prior experience in a startup or rapid product development cycle.
Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
