Production Associate: Retread Tire Technician - Portland, OR at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company The starting pay for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road. In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages: Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread Buff the casing to remove any worn tread Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing Use rubber cement or a patch to repair the casing before applying new tread Build the tire by applying new tread Cure the tire to mold the retread application Final inspection to assess a safe and quality product Want to see the process?
