Actalent We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, focusing on process improvement and technical problem-solving in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality management, and continuous improvement principles. Responsibilities
Lead by a 'Safety First' mindset, embracing lean manufacturing and TPS principles. Support the development and execution of annual plans aligned with company and department goals. Lead projects and teams using tools such as project milestone management, gate KPI report outs, and problem tracking. Analyze process KPIs and facilitate kaizen activities. Lead technical problem-solving activities related to process equipment and new technology integration. Support production and maintenance departments to solve system/process problems and implement countermeasures. Act as a technical resource for production, maintenance, and quality to support standardization through documentation, training, and audits. Coordinate process audits to ensure Quality Management System compliance. Manage supplier/contractor activities, including job scope, expectations, safety, and schedules. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments before implementing process and engineering changes. Develop technical instructions to ensure quality requirements are met. Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing engineering and production within the automotive industry. Proficiency in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Six Sigma and welding processes. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Plant-level experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with technical specifications and implementation of equipment or process changes. Experience with robot automation and system integration, including PLC communication. Project management experience related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Experience in cross-functional projects and problem-solving teams. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Blue Springs, Mississippi. Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $81,000.00 - $106,000.00 per year. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
