Responsibilities
Serve in a technical role, under the direction of a Project Manager
Oversee the work of EITs and Junior Project Engineers
Prepare detailed engineering designs for rail projects
Take responsibility for project involvement, ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase
Perform other duties as needed
Travel
Percentage of local travel - 0%
Percentage of travel greater than 40 miles - 0%
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Demonstrated hands-on experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads and InRail
Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting
MS Office software experience
Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience in transportation design - railroad projects
Preference given to local candidates
