Position Summary: The Coordinator reports to the Supervisor of Materials Planning, and works with Maintenance Planning and Engineering on material requirements for maintenance program(s) related to the fleet. The Coordinator collaborates with the tech purchasing team to acquire all necessary materials for aircraft modifications or preoperational requirements and negotiates parts availability with the business partners. The Coordinator also organizes materiel logistics issues, and strategically plans all materiel requirements, based on the Aircraft (A/C) maintenance schedule.

Essential Responsibilities:

Works closely with Engineering group on all material requirements for Engineering Orders (EO), Engineering Authorizations and Regulatory Summaries

Procures all necessary parts and tooling based on Technical Standards requirements

Manages and assigns EO work load to Crewmembers with respect to materiel requirements to support the operations

Coordinates material logistical issues with other departments

Coordinates and plans the receipt and allocation of all material for engineering requirements

Procures and coordinates delivery of all material needed for preoperational requirements

Monitors accomplishment of preoperational requirements and resolves any material issues

Interacts with Technical Operations Group in supporting materiel requirements and with business partners and other departments within the organization to meet the requirements in operations

Trains Crewmembers, as needed, for compliance with the EO materiel process

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

One (1) year of experience in an aviation discipline

One (1) year of experience working with large scale project management related to procurement and logistics of material

Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards

Valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States

Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)

Valid passport required with ability for overnight international travel

Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs including Outlook, Word and Excel

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Pass a pre-employment drug test

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in the Aviation field

Two (2) years of working in an aircraft maintenance or materials environment

Strong financial background

Purchasing background

Crewmember Expectations:

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short‑notice

Able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
