in Newark, DE. We are looking for an enthusiastic Automated Process Support Engineer to support our cutting-edge Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) team. You will provide technical support for automated process equipment to keep operations performing safely, reliably, and at peak efficiency. This position is part of DuPont's Electronics and Industrial Division moving to the new Electronics Company ( Qnity ). It offers exposure to high-growth global businesses delivering materials to the electronics and industrial sectors. Our CMP facilities feature batch polymer manufacturing, film coating, and converting operations. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Newark Automation and Process Control (A&PC) team to support manufacturing plant operations. Provide day-to-day technical support for automated process equipment, addressing challenges related to robotics, vision systems, barcoding, and scanning equipment. Contribute to capital projects, including design reviews, commissioning, and acceptance testing. Contribute to Machine Risk Assessments (MRAs) and ensure compliance with DuPont S1M machine safety standards. Collaborate with external vendors to support equipment upgrades, repairs, and qualifications. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, with coursework in robotics, machine vision, and automated inspection required. Master’s degree is a plus. 2+ years of experience in a discrete manufacturing environment, with a focus on automated and robotic equipment preferred. Familiarity with robotics platforms such as KUKA, ABB, or Epson, and integration with vision systems. Programming experience with vision systems such as LabVIEW, Cognex, or Keyence is a plus. Awareness of Machine Risk Assessments and Performance Level calculations. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, with SolidWorks preferred. Ability to read electrical schematics. Knowledge of SQL databases is beneficial. Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical fabrication. Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
