Job Overview Engineering Specialist-Quality (KCAP) at Ford Motor Company.

The Quality Analyst will report to the Plant Vehicle Evaluation Manager and support the Variability Reduction Team.

Responsibilities

Assist reviewing and binning early claims and customer concerns with PVT engineers.

Support VRT with statistical process control and data analysis.

Participate with VRT team to conduct periodic job observation and update status to completion.

Provide external and internal data checks for quality reviews.

Maintain health chart schedule and assessments and review quality leadership system charts for data accuracy.

Perform subsystem checks as required.

Learn control plan and verify data entry into web-based data management.

Assemble acceptance criteria visual aids for the VRT.

Maintain cycle line layout indicator mapping with assistance of the VRT.

Update and maintain the Quality Confirmation Map.

Apply Quality principles and analytical techniques to continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.

Analyze vehicle root causes, engage in mapping and corrective actions to reduce vehicle inventory.

Lead role in resolving assembly related concerns and lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience.

Minimum 5 years quality experience.

Previous union experience.

Previous data experience.

Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Excellent written and verbal skills.

Even Better, You May Have

Associate degree.

Black Belt training or certification.

Knowledge of QARS, GSAR, ECB.

QLS usage and data analysis.

WBDM data analysis and interpretation.

AVIS Cell data analysis and interpretation – experience.

VOW Cell data analysis and interpretation.

Error Proofing data analysis and interpretation.

ONTRAC.

Quality Leadership System (QLS).

Health Chart CTQ in E2KS.
