In this position, the Test Engineer will work cross-functionally to support the development and verification of new products at the component and complete vehicle levels. The role involves defining, verifying, and validating the NVH performance of products through physical testing, data collection, simulation, and data analysis. Responsibilities
Define test methods in accordance with specified requirements. Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan, manage, prepare, and execute testing processes. Analyze test results and provide informed recommendations within respective technology areas. Prepare and manage fault reports derived from tests. Document results through published engineering reports (ER). Identify, drive, and maintain efficiency improvements related to NVH testing and analysis methods. Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred. 5+ years of NVH testing/analysis experience in the automotive industry required; heavy-duty truck experience preferred. Techniques for Measuring and Analyzing NVH: competence in evaluating NVH, including frequency responses, noise source identification, and subjective sound quality. Siemens LMS data acquisition and analysis experience highly preferred. NVH problem-solving skills: ability to detect NVH issues, determine root causes, and formulate resolutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office for engineering reports and presentations. Experience working with cross-functional teams. Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 The actual salary offered is dependent on factors including location, and the candidate’s knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
