Pipeline Risk Engineer
Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite Monday - Friday)
Duration: 12 months+ to direct
Start Date: ASAP
Pay range: $50-$70/hr
Job Responsibilities:
Run company's Integrity Management Plan's pipeline risk model
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to update and verify data sets
Implement updates to risk algorithms as needed
Conduct risk assessments, threat evaluations, risk ranking, and determine preventive and mitigative measures for assigned pipeline assets
Understand the threats and risks associated with the pipeline assets
Run risk models for specific assets, including data collection, understanding algorithms, reviewing results, and utilizing outputs
Coordinate with experts and stakeholders for threat planning and feedback on program improvements
Document and categorize risk areas
Collaborate with IT to update and validate mapping software results
Present reports and findings to stakeholders
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
5+ years experience with pipeline integrity datasets (e.g., in-line inspection, pressure testing, corrosion, construction, direct assessment)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate with field personnel, engineers, and external entities
Organizational and planning skills with the ability to work independently
Teamwork skills with internal and external customers
Initiative and adaptability in managing multiple tasks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with GIS systems
Ability to query databases for data analysis and QA/QC
