Landscape Mechanic
you will contribute your skills to maintaining our fleet of light and heavy-duty gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles, including trucks and off-road equipment. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career. Responsibilities And Duties
Maintains company fleet vehicles and trailers in safe and working order, including performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire changes, brake system repairs, and light repairs. Schedules routine maintenance for all vehicles and equipment. Repairs small equipment (2-stroke and 4-stroke engines). Orders parts as needed, tracking expenses and reviewing orders with the Branch Manager. Maintains maintenance logs and schedules for large equipment (e.g., CAT loaders, Vermeer minis, JCB and Kubota tractors), including oil changes and other preventative maintenance. Coordinates major repairs for large equipment with external service providers as needed. Stays current on equipment maintenance procedures by reading and reviewing equipment manuals. Schedules and ensures timely completion of recall notice repairs. Performs and schedules repairs for greenhouse equipment. Performs and schedules facility maintenance. Follow proper safety procedures and standards on a regular basis. Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical shop within the landscaping industry. Forklift certification and welding certification required. Comprehensive knowledge of light and heavy-duty gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, and off-road equipment. Strong understanding of diagnostics, drivability, and electrical systems. Experience with computer-based administrative tasks, such as ordering parts and maintaining inventory records. Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds. Valid Driver's license required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. The Perks
