Job Description The Senior Construction Estimator – CSA Focused role at Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator with CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) experience to support large‑scale construction projects and programs. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with a strong track record of providing accurate estimating services.

Responsibilities

Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographic regions; with internal and external staff.

Deliver and present updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.

Provide program‑level estimates for specific scopes of work.

Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of support staff.

Review proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.

Help drive cost model trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost information from completed projects.

Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value engineering ideas at a program level.

Support training to Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates.

Support preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s preconstruction and estimating team.

Deliver life‑cycle costing models.

SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Project/Program Specific Responsibilities

Provide estimating support activities across a variety of life science sector projects and programs.

Responsibilities Will Consist Of

Preparation of benchmarking reports and development of appropriate data.

Measurement and estimation from a first principle basis for projects at all design stages.

Proficient in measuring using CSI Masterformat.

Undertake reviews of third‑party estimates to identify alignment with the market and prepare reports to detail findings.

Preparation of estimates for project change orders and review of EPCM submissions.

Market Sector Experience

Pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D facilities.

CGMP facilities.

Project/program Size In Dollar Value

Various, with projects ranging in size from $50m to $1bn+.

Software Specific Requirements

CostX experience preferred but not essential. Experience in measurement software essential.

Certification Requirements

AACE membership or equivalent preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.

Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience.

Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls, etc.

Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre‑construction services at a construction management or related firm.

Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs.

Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.

Excellent communication skills.

Additional Information The salary range for this full‑time role is $135K‑$170K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
