Join our team as a
Highway Project Engineer
and take the lead in designing, constructing, and maintaining vital transportation infrastructure. You will combine engineering expertise with project management to ensure safe, efficient roads and highways. You will tackle specialized design tasks and oversee small projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes. Base pay
$48.08/hr - $62.50/hr Salary Range: $48.08-$62.50 Hourly Essential Functions
Effectively complete work assignments related to highway design, drainage design, alignments, and other duties applicable to these projects. Develop preliminary and detailed final design plans and cost analysis for new highway projects or improvements to existing infrastructure that meet client goals. Ensure designs adhere to safety standards, local regulations, and best practices. Maintain accurate records of project details, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information. Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, subconsultants and regulatory approving agencies. Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Attend routine project design meetings and coordinate regularly with the technical staff to complete the project within the assigned budget and on schedule. Provide mentoring, direction and oversight to internal design staff. Assist Project Manager with project presentations, proposed project schedules and development tasks assigned by the Project Manager. Requirements
Education & Experience
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred) 10-15 years minimum of transportation experience; highway engineering experience preferred Professional Engineering License required Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
