Overview
Responsible for ensuring production quality within the assigned mass production unit/area by leading quality system improvements, resolving customer concerns, and driving continuous improvement in alignment with company and customer standards. Responsibilities
Collaborate with Production, Design, and Mass Production Engineers to improve quality systems and resolve customer complaints Conduct daily quality audits (Gemba walks) and ensure standards compliance Lead investigations for customer and internal quality issues; develop and implement countermeasures using root cause analysis methods (5Y, Fishbone, Mind Mapping, etc.) Manage and improve quality documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, PQS, PPAP, etc.) Supervise and train quality technicians and auditors, including performance reviews, career development, and disciplinary actions as needed Support and lead PFMEA and Bully Testing processes, including training staff and implementing lessons learned Analyze production data to identify trends, ensure containment, and control sorting costs Lead Kaizen improvements, develop capital requests, and optimize processes to reduce risk, improve OEE, and deliver ROI Provide training to peers and cross-functional teams on quality systems and best practices Enhance customer/internal document management and champion system-wide improvements Support customer audits and drive resolution of customer quality issues Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field or equivalent experience Required Skills
3–5+ years of quality engineering experience, with strong background in injection molding (required) Proven leadership ability with experience supervising or training quality staff Strong communication skills (verbal and written English) and ability to collaborate across teams Skilled in blueprint reading, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams Seniority level
