Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Engineer to maintain and improve our injection molding manufacturing processes. This role is critical to ensuring consistent product quality, production efficiency, and cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics or mechanical engineering, troubleshooting experience, and a passion for process improvement.
Responsibilities
Establish optimal processes for high-cavitation molds and hot runner tooling using engineering-grade resins.
Troubleshoot molding issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and product quality.
Develop and maintain process documentation, production standards, and training materials.
Lead process improvement projects across tooling, materials, and machine operations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Tooling, Planning, and Production.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Lead start-up and initial processing for new molds and products.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a minimum 1 year of experience in injection molding process engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
