$25.00/hr - $35.00/hr About the Role: Paragon IT Professionals is seeking a Service Engineer to support our premier client's international fleet of automation systems, hardware, software, and documentation for the Research Seed Production (RSP) Seed Processing Systems, Seed Filling Systems and Seed Handling Systems; designed, developed, and manufactured by the AFT Seed Engineering team. HYBRID IN JOHNSTON, IA Must be bilingual in English and Portuguese Contract Role Responsibilities: Intake and processing of service requests (JIRA Service Desk). Solving hardware, software, server, and database issues. Support document creation and maintenance (Confluence). Direct user training and support. Skills Needed: Bilingual: English and Portuguese (business level proficiency). Customer service experience in person or remote. Knowledge and understanding of SQL and relational databases. Stored procedures. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with aggressive timeframes. Self-starter attitude: Take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills writing, verbal (listening and comprehension). Understanding in low voltage electronics (48V or less). Basic understanding of mechanical, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems. Qualifications: Associate’s degree, 3+ years support experience or equivalent experience in a technology field (engineering, electronics, software development). This is a contract role.
