Charlotte, NC (on-site five days a week) About Our Client Our client is a premier mechanical HVAC solutions provider with more than 50 years of experience serving Charlotte, the Piedmont-Triad, and Asheville markets. They are recognized as a leader in mechanical HVAC contracting, delivering excellence in pre-construction planning, design, and installation. Job Description
Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection Review blueprints, technical specifications, and scopes of work to determine requirements Conduct material takeoffs and ensure precise quantities are included in project bids Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to build competitive proposals Provide value engineering recommendations to balance cost, quality, and project goals Maintain knowledge of current labor rates, material costs, and market conditions Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine project details Submit comprehensive bid packages and assist with post-bid activities such as cost tracking and change orders Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered 3+ years of HVAC/mechanical estimating experience in the construction industry Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installation processes Proficiency with estimating software (FAS EST, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Excel Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Why This Is a Great Opportunity
