We are hiring on behalf of a client, a respected leader in the critical power industry for an experienced UPS Field Service Engineer. This is a home-based, regional field position that focuses on the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and emergency service of 3-phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and related power equipment supporting data centers, hospitals, telecom networks, and industrial facilities. This role is ideal for a self-motivated field engineer who enjoys working independently, solving complex electrical problems, and supporting mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities

Perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on 3-phase UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, and static transfer switches. Conduct detailed system testing, inspections, and field modifications to ensure performance and reliability. Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues down to the component level, coordinating with technical support as needed. Review designs, develop test procedures, and produce detailed field and commissioning reports. Collaborate with management to refine Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and service documentation. Maintain accurate and timely Field Service Reports for all work performed. Participate in OEM and internal training to remain current with product updates and best practices. Travel regionally to customer sites; flexible scheduling may include nights or weekends. Qualifications

3–5+ years of field experience servicing and troubleshooting 3-phase UPS systems and related critical power electronics. Strong proficiency with electrical test equipment, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Experience with major UPS OEMs (e.g., Liebert/Emerson/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider Electric, Eaton/Powerware) required. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision. Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and performing hands-on technical work. Willingness to travel regionally and work a flexible schedule. Previous experience with third-party UPS service providers is a plus. Vehicle & Travel Requirements

Must have a reliable personal vehicle suitable for regional field service travel. A monthly vehicle stipend is provided. Daily mileage and related travel expenses are reimbursable in accordance with company policy. Seniority level
