Senior Electrical Engineer

ABB . This position focuses on ensuring high product reliability through root cause analysis, collaborative testing, and continuous quality improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support both current and next-generation drive products. The work model for the role is onsite. This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Division in the New Berlin, WI area. This position reports to Product Engineering & Quality Manager. Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on ensuring high product reliability through root cause analysis, collaborative testing, and continuous quality improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support both current and next-generation drive products. The work model for the role is onsite. This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Division in the New Berlin, WI area. You will be mainly accountable to the Product Engineering & Quality Manager. Support the Center of Excellence CoE team with field failure analysis, including drive product data evaluation, understanding customer applications, and proposing additional field measurements. Collaborate with the Product Responsible Unit PRU and technical specialists to investigate the root causes of failures. Define and direct testing procedures to validate designs, qualify critical components, and verify compliance with regulatory and agency standards. Lead quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives across product lines. Team Dynamics

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, failure analysis, or a related role, preferably in the drives or power electronics industry. Strong background in root cause analysis techniques (eg FMEA, 5 Whys, RCA). Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Travel requirement: 5-10%.
