Role Overview The Electrical and Controls Team Lead is responsible for organizing, planning, implementing, and measuring daily maintenance activities. They will demonstrate leadership through the upkeep of manufacturing equipment, performing repairs as prioritized by management, working on PLCs, and documenting all activities in the work order module of the computer maintenance management system.

Responsibilities Demonstrate effective communication skills, acting as the liaison between the Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Team Organize and lead team members on assignments and projects Effectively manage time and deadlines Promote continuous improvement by facilitating training, improving PMs, etc. Demonstrate exceptional attention to safety, and lead by example when setting standards for the Maintenance Team Set the standard for professionalism, cleanliness, attitude, work ethic and respect for fellow associates Possess an advanced understanding of electrical systems, PID controls, IO readings, PLCs, DC motors and drives, AC motors and drives, hydraulics and pneumatics Restore machinery to a condition better than its original state Help ensure that drawings, programs and manuals are accurate, available and up to date Demonstrate superior troubleshooting skills and devise permanent solutions to mechanical issues Have the ability to use mathematical formulas to solve mechanical problems Handle equipment and tools properly and with care Possess the ability to read, create and update mechanical drawings Excellent follow up skills and attention to detail Be willing to work overtime, cover shifts and respond to call‑ins, as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Education Two‑year technical degree

Experience Minimum 3 years industrial equipment maintenance experience in manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Epicor or other maintenance specific software databases Strong interpersonal and communication skills Organization and documentation skills PLC programming and troubleshooting experience Troubleshoot AC and DC drives down to the board level Ability to work in and lead teams Proficient knowledge in mechanical, electrical, blueprint reading, hydraulic, pneumatic, arc welding, gas welding and cutting Commitment to safety and quality Self‑directed with good time management skills Forklift certification
