Job Title: CAT Scan Technician (CT Tech) at Archway Marketing Services Location: Morristown, NJ 07960 Pay: $2810.00-$3010.00 per week Shift: Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat 9:00 pm – 7:00 am (overnight and includes on-call rotation) Schedule: 13 Weeks (Possible Extensions) Responsibilities
The CT technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence when performing the following tasks. Obtains necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols. Maintains sterility of the field and instruments. Correctly prepares requisitions. Communicate with the patient and family before, during, and after the procedure to alleviate anxiety while maintaining the patient\'s privacy and dignity. The technologist will adhere to all HIPAA regulations and respect the patient\'s privacy. Verifies patient identification according to the AHS policy. Observe the patient’s condition before and after contrast injections and report any sudden change to the nursing staff and Radiologist. Ensures the availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and history of the patient. Can begin emergency response in case of complication. Maintains adequate linen supplies in each scanning room. Maintains adequate contrast media and biopsy/drainage supplies in each scanning room. Adheres to room assignments (CT 1,2, and 3). Assists in maintaining the CT storeroom and outside inventory. Participates in daily inventory and stocking of supplies. Notifies Lead of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications. Cleans and inventories supplies. Participates in the routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use. Triages procedures according to the daily schedule when assigned as Point, ensuring timely coordination of all emergency and unscheduled procedure requests. Assign staff to ensure efficient workflow while maintaining an environment of patient safety. Maintains workflow within the section to coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedure requests within the schedule. Communicate with all departments and floors with regard to patient status. Ensure immediate patient transport post-procedure. Assists in performing routine procedures. Assesses the patient\'s ability to tolerate contrast. Screens for allergies/medication incompatibilities. Cleans the CT Unit and room after each use; maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the working area. Notifies the Coordinator or Lead of equipment malfunctions. Maintains QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly & ACR specifications. Recognizes unusual conditions in equipment operation and alerts appropriate personnel. Adheres to venipuncture and power injector protocols. When cases require immediate results (e.g., Code Grey, Trauma), images are acquired, processed, sent, and verified/completed in the PACS / RIS system per established protocol (immediately after acquisition for Code Grey). Notify the radiologist of Code Grey images and follow up with any processed data. All staff should notify the radiologist of any unusual findings to provide optimum patient care. Qualifications
Required Certifications & Licensure: ARRT RT (R), ARRT RT (CT), NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License, BLS Certification. Required Education: HS diploma/GED; Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College Radiography program. Employment details
