Overview
AZAD is seeking a Cat Scan Tech for a Full-Time W2 Contract position in Morristown, New Jersey. Schedule: Wed, Thursday and Saturday 10am-11pm with call included Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7pm-8am (overnight with on-call rotation) Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9pm-7am (overnight with on-call rotation) Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9pm-7am (overnight with on-call rotation) Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm including call and holiday rotation Assignment Duration:
The initial assignment length is 13+ weeks with a high probability of being extended. Compensation & Benefits:
The hourly compensation pay rate range is between $62.00 - $67.00. Benefits include Co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, and 401k. Duties
The CT technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence when performing the following tasks. Obtains necessary medical, surgical and radiological supplies for specific procedures according to established protocols. Maintains sterility of field and instruments. Correctly prepares requisitions. Communicates to the patient and family before, during and after the procedure to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity of the patient. Adheres to all HIPAA regulations and respects the patient\'s privacy. Verifies patient identification according to the AHS policy. Observes patient\'s condition before and after contrast injections and reports any sudden change to the nursing staff and Radiologist. Ensures availability of medical records, previous reports, labs and history of patient. Can begin emergency response in case of complication. Maintains adequate linen supplies in each scanning room. Maintains adequate contrast media and biopsy/drainage supplies in each scanning room. Adheres to room assignments (CT 1, 2 and 3). Assists in maintaining CT storeroom, outside inventory. Participates in daily inventory and stocking of supplies. Notifies Lead of expired or soon to expire equipment or medications. Cleans and inventories supplies. Participates in the routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table and peripheral equipment after each use. As Point staff, triages procedures accordingly to the daily schedule and ensures timely coordination of all emergency and unscheduled procedure requests. Assigns staff to ensure efficient workflow while maintaining an environment of patient safety. Maintains workflow within the section to coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedure requests within the schedule. Communicates with all departments and floors regarding patient status. Ensures immediate patient transport post-procedure. Assists in performing routine procedures. Assesses patient ability to tolerate contrast and screens for allergies/medication incompatibilities. Cleans CT Unit and room after each use and maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the working area. Notifies Coordinator or Lead of equipment malfunctions and maintains QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly & ACR specifications. Recognizes unusual conditions in the operation of equipment and alerts appropriate personnel of malfunctions. Adheres to venipuncture and power injector protocols. For cases requiring immediate results (Code Grey, Trauma), images will be acquired, processed, sent and verified/completed in PACS/RIS per established protocol (immediately after acquisition for Code Grey). The CT technologist will notify the radiologist as Code Grey images are being sent and follow with any processed data after. All staff should notify the radiologist of any unusual findings to provide optimum patient care. Education
Required Education: HS diploma/GED Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program. Required Certifications & Licensure: ARRT RT (R) ARRT RT (CT) NJDEP - New Jersey State X-Ray License BLS Certification. About AZAD
