Engineering Technical Recruiter at Blue Chip Talent
Key Responsibilities Stay up to date on current best practices, materials, tools, and construction techniques used in residential building projects. Continuously research and apply the most recent local building codes and compliance standards relevant to the assigned system (e.g., electrical, structural, HVAC, or plumbing). Assist the design and engineering team by producing accurate 2D plans and 3D models using CAD applications. Follow company procedures to manage and organize design data, version control, and documentation of revisions. Interpret and incorporate customer specifications—including performance criteria, material preferences, and production processes—into initial and revised designs. Facilitate clear communication and coordination between internal departments, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in and lead internal and external design reviews to ensure alignment with customer expectations and technical standards. Contribute to Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, verifying all required parts are listed, accurately costed, and aligned with budgetary goals. Evaluate new and existing designs for manufacturability and assembly efficiency based on the client’s production methods and labor constraints. Work in tandem with other system engineers and designers to resolve potential interferences and ensure design compatibility across building systems. Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in residential systems design or engineering, with expertise in one or more key areas such as structural framing, HVAC layouts, plumbing networks, electrical planning, or interior/exterior architectural elements. Proficient in design software such as
Revit
and
BIM Collaborate ; experience with
CATIA V5
or
Siemens NX
is also valued. Previous experience working with detached or single-family home designs is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or architectural field is ideal; candidates with technical certifications or significant hands-on experience in residential building design will also be considered.
