Senior Program Quality Engineer

As a
Senior Program Quality Engineer , you will be working hands on with cross functional teams in a fast paced environment with plenty of challenging opportunities. You will be working directly with our manufacturing processes and products. Your knowledge and experience will be valued and contribute to furthering the success of Raytheon Operations Quality. The Quality Team is responsible for integration and execution of Quality practices and processes in the program office. We serve as the prime Quality interface with program team responsible for the guidance and support of all matters pertaining to Quality and continuous improvement supporting program contract execution.
This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
Identify and manage risk in the manufacturing process
Supporting production, suppliers, first article inspections, and preparation for audits
Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies
Regular interface with DCMA
Daily status meetings with internal stakeholders to manage issues, and weekly meetings to help reduce the cost of poor quality
Mentoring Quality Engineers
Oversee program wide strategic efforts that meet the quality department goals
Facilitate and drive a cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and guiding Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in quality and/or manufacturing engineering
Experience in:
Development/usage of quality metrics
Supporting design and/or manufacturing process
Interpreting and ensuring compliance with TDP, contractual, or QMS requirements
RCCA and Continuous Improvement methods
Interacting with program leadership, operations, suppliers, customers, and internal/external stakeholders
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
ASQ CQE Certification
Experience in APQP methods (including FMEA, Control Plan, FAI/AS9102, SPC)
Experience mentoring a cross-functional team
Experience interpreting and ensuring compliance with TDP and QMS requirements
Experience working in a dynamic environment that requires prioritization and flexibility to support competing requirements
Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
Demonstrated leadership in RCCA and Continuous Improvement projects
Experienced team player who achieves results and continuously strives for improvement
Experience in PRISM, Business Warehouse, or RCAS
Experience making decisions, with limited information
Experience applying:
Critical thinking skills
Leading without authority
Communication skills

Location: Tucson, AZ
Salary range: 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
