Position Responsibilities
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications. Perform system upgrades, patches, and software installations as needed. Set up and deploy new desktops, laptops, and peripherals for end-users. Monitor and maintain desktop security, including antivirus software and patch management. Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve escalated technical issues. Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Conduct hardware and software inventory management and asset tracking. Assist in testing and evaluating new technologies and tools to enhance desktop management. Provide training and support to end-users on desktop applications and best practices. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. Education and/or Training
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus Proficient in Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and desktop management tools. Relevant Work Experience
2-4 years’ experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role Experience with desktop hardware troubleshooting, upgrades, and repairs Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is preferred Breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security Compensation and Benefits
