The LHH is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with an automotive manufacturing client located near Bristol, IN. In this role, you will join a well-established organization with a very strong reputation within their niche industry. You will have the opportunity to lead efforts to continue to refine and enhance product quality while also driving initiatives aimed at improving processes, enhancing innovation, and driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing facility. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $85,000-95,000 per year plus bonus and includes incredibly affordable medical insurance plans which are predominantly employer-paid, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold all ISO, quality, and regulatory standards in regards to production quality, quality assurance, and supplier quality
Create, maintain, and update quality engineering protocols as well as an audit tracking system with coinciding audit schedule
Solve problems and conduct root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformance issues
Monitor, communicate, and improve KPI’s, including cost reduction, DPPM, and waste
Report errors and activity within the quality management system
Recommend changes for process improvements to the manufacturing and quality process
Coordinate with the new product development teams to update blueprints, designs, drawings, and schematics for process improvements, compliance, and simplification
Participate in quality audits, projects, or special assignments as assigned
Assist in investigating customer complaints and ensure appropriate, timely, and accurate resolution
Assist the Engineering Manager and Quality Team with the strategic vision of the department, develop plans for improvement, and help in executing those plans
Ensure adherence to company quality, health, and safety regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Engineering is highly preferred
Minimum of 3+ years of quality engineering experience within automotive, RV, commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, or other heavy manufacturing industry is required
Must have 3+ years of experience upholding ISO quality standards and leading inspections and auditing efforts within a manufacturing facility
Must have experience collaborating and communicating directly with suppliers and customers
Ideal candidates will have the ability to interpret customer specifications and inspection requirements
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy is required
Must be self-motivated and proactive
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
