Senior Construction Estimator - Water / Wastewater Infrastructure

Velocity Constructors, Inc. is an employee-owned Colorado based General Contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure. From treatment plants and pump stations to reservoirs and underground utilities, we build systems that keep communities running and we take pride in doing it right. As we expand, we’re seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with deep experience in water and wastewater treatment projects to lead complex, high value estimating efforts. This is a strategic hire for our Englewood-based team. This isn’t an entry level role, this is ideal for an experienced, detail driven professional ready to take ownership of preconstruction efforts and help shape the future of our company. Responsibilities : Identify, evaluate, and pursue bid opportunities aligned with our core services. Review and interpret complex plans, specifications, and contract documents for water / wastewater treatment facilities. Perform and / or oversee detailed quantity take-offs for civil, mechanical, and process systems. Develop accurate cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Lead subcontractor and supplier outreach, pre-bid meetings, and quote evaluations. Collaborate with project managers and executives to assess risk, build bid strategies, and ensure alignment with company goals. ✅ What You Bring

5+ years of construction estimating experience with a focus on water / wastewater treatment and / or heavy civil infrastructure. Proven ability to lead complex estimates from start to finish, including design-build and CMAR delivery methods. In-depth knowledge of water process systems, civil sitework, and mechanical systems specific to treatment facilities. Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and digital plan tools. Strong analytical and organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy and detail. Clear, confident communication skills, able to coordinate across departments and lead external conversations. Team oriented with a proactive mindset, you anticipate challenges and solve problems before they impact the bid. Compensation & Schedule This is a full-time, professional role based out of our Englewood, CO office, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday. The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications specific to water / wastewater estimating. Start Date
