As a Transit Design Engineer, you will assist on bus rapid transit, light rail, commuter rail, and other transit related projects. Unmatched Comp Time Policy:

Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO. Responsibilities

Provide effective and accurate communication with clients, co-workers, stakeholders, contractors, and other team members. Support project managers and engineers with design tasks and report preparation for various transit projects. Prepare engineering related calculations, drawings, and exhibits. Perform independent research, including site visits, as directed and communicate findings to project teams. Collaborate with project team members to ensure delivery of high-quality products. Manage project data files. Attend company and project meetings as directed. Assist with business development efforts. Adhere to Horrocks policies to uphold a safe and efficient environment. Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity. Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field. P.E. license in Utah or ability to obtain Utah P.E. license through reciprocity. 5-10 years of experience in transportation design and engineering. Proficient with MicroStation/Open Roads Designer. Ability to lead the preparation of design reports and construction drawings for transit projects. Time management skills to prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines. Effective communication skills with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely.
