Position Summary
The Senior Manager – Network Engineering is a strategic and technical leader responsible for planning, design, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise network, network security, and cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for delivery of networking and network security services for stores, corporate and regional offices, on-prem datacenters and cloud environments. This role oversees cross-functional initiatives spanning architecture, engineering, deployment, and vendor management, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that support business growth and innovation. Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-wide architecture reviews and design documentation processes. Drive business planning initiatives aligned with IT and organizational goals. Develop and maintain the technology roadmap, including DR design and cloud systems planning. Oversee equipment lifecycle planning and ensure alignment with evolving business needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, business units, and external vendors. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business leadership to ensure alignment and transparency. Oversee planning and execution of various sizes of infrastructure deployments. Lead rollout planning and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and consistency. Guide engineering efforts across key domains, such as firewall and network security planning, datacenter and cloud planning, store capacity and growth. Ensure infrastructure scalability, performance, and compliance with security and payment industry standards. Performs other duties and functions as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience Experience Requirements
8+ years professional IT management experience 8+ years of experience working with network and security technologies Cisco and Palo Alto. 5+ years working in the retail vertical with firsthand experience with retail store challenges and solutions for large scale network operations. Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement, user satisfaction and adherence to standards. Ability to demonstrate abstract reasoning, critical thinking, and problem resolution skills Skill Requirements
Strong leadership, planning and project management skills. Proven experience in architecture, deployment, and vendor management. Strong knowledge of SD-WAN, cloud networking, and security frameworks. Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds Seniority level
