Overview
Lead Electrical Engineer - Substation Design QA/QC (U.S. Central Region) at Black & Veatch. This role acts as a quality control/quality assurance engineer within the Substation Quality Management Group (QMG), performing QA/QC on substation design packages with emphasis on continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be located or willing to relocate to one of the following U.S. Central Region Power Offices: Kansas City (Overland Park, KS); Houston (TX); Minneapolis (Bloomington, MN); Chicago (IL).
Key Responsibilities
Function as a quality control/quality assurance engineer within the substation quality management group (QMG).
Perform QA/QC of substation design packages, including physical design, protective relaying/control with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
Collaborate with the substation design team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program (home country or country of practice).
Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) as applicable by law.
Preferred Qualifications
Substation Design – Physical and/or P&C
Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Substation Design projects
Professional Engineering (PE) License

Compensation Annual compensation range: $101,720.00 - $167,651.00
