Our spaceflight hardware typically features embedded Single Board Computers (SBCs) interfacing with custom analog and digital I/O boards for Command & Data Handling (C&DH), alongside Electrical Power System (EPS) boards for power management, solar array switching, and battery charging. $175,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr What You'll Do as a Design Engineering Manager
Lead and mentor a dynamic, matrixed team of 10-15 engineers, fostering growth and collaboration. Allocate talent efficiently to meet project needs and encourage a positive, creative engineering culture. Champion continuous improvement in design processes, ensuring compliance with company and customer policies. Provide expert technical guidance and support to your team. Select and equip your team with the best tools and technology to excel. Track progress rigorously to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality designs. Review and provide insightful feedback on circuit analyses, board-level designs, electrical schematics, and layouts. Act as a key contributor during design reviews, validating adherence to internal standards and customer requirements. What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 10+ years of experience designing and developing analog and digital circuit cards—spaceflight experience is a strong plus. Deep expertise in modern microprocessors/DSPs, high-speed digital logic, memory systems, and data converters (ADC/DAC). Strong analytical skills in power dissipation, timing, signal integrity, and component derating. Proven track record managing and leading engineering teams to success. Extensive knowledge of PCB design/layout and related design tools. Advanced experience with signal integrity analysis, PCB stack-up design, and worst-case scenario evaluation. How we care for you
