The responsibilities of the Virtual Design & Construction Co-op will vary from project to project but generally would include some or all of the following: Work in some or all of the following platforms: SketchUp Revit Lumion Tekla Navisworks Recap Synchro Pro ArchiCAD Microstation Rhino 3DS Max Adobe CS AutoCAD Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Collaborate with project teams, business development, estimating, safety, and building systems group departments to develop: Site and building layouts 3D site logistics plans Building models and 3D mock-ups 3D prints Safe plans of work 4D schedules Laser scan/point cloud integration Augmented/Virtual Reality models and visualizations Document control Quality control Research and Development What You Will Bring
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an Architectural-related program with a focus on construction processes/industry/delivery methods/building information modeling/virtual design and construction Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks Experience with 3D modeling software Your decisions influence your career at every step: Make yours count with Messer Construction Co.
