Locum Rheumatology Physician – Hood River, OR
Aya Locums is hiring a Locum Rheumatology Physician to begin on 05-11-26 for a 13‑week assignment at a Critical Access facility in Hood River, OR. The role pays $175 to $200 per hour.
Schedule & Coverage
Shift coverage: Scheduled + No Call
Shift schedule: Standard 3, 8‑hour, 08:00 – 17:00
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat patients with rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and osteoporosis.
Perform joint injections, aspirations, and other minor procedures as indicated.
Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies, and manage complications of chronic conditions.
Provide patient education on disease management and post‑care strategies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain accurate, thorough medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
Residency in internal medicine or related field (ACGME or AOA accredited).
Fellowship training in rheumatology.
Board certification in rheumatology by ABIM or AOBIM.
Active, unrestricted medical license in Oregon.
Preferred Experience
At least one year of clinical experience in rheumatology (locum or permanent).
Additional Information
Temporary assignment lasting 13 weeks, with potential for extension.
Competitive pay range of $175–$200 per hour.
Coverage of travel and lodging provided by Aya Locums.
