Surgical Technologist-One Day Surgery

Department: 37754 Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Day Surgery Center: Rome Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Training will be 5 days a week M-F, once One Day Surgery is fully staffed the position will be 4 days 9 hour shifts. No call, weekends or Holidays. It does comes with a rotating lag schedule for cases going late. Pay Range: $24.85 - $37.30 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Certification in specialty area preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN. Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies. Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner. Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development. Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.
