Veterinarian - Locum Criticalist

in Middletown, CT. This VECCS Level I facility is expanding its Resuscitation & Critical Care (RACC) department and is seeking a veterinary criticalist to join our team. Locum opportunities are available.
What you’ll do As a criticalist, you will manage critical and hospitalized patients without primary ER responsibility. You will work daytime shifts only (no swing shifts or overnights), collaborate with other specialty departments on treatment plans in a collegial, team-based culture, and contribute to teaching students, interns, and residents.
About Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is expanding and located in a hybrid ER/Specialty hospital in Middletown, CT. Our RACC department includes two boarded criticalists, dedicated technicians and assistants, and department-specific client liaisons. We are owned and operated by veterinarians since 1937 and are part of a network that includes four primary care hospitals and one urgent care hospital in central Connecticut. Our facility features state-of-the-art imaging and monitoring equipment, including ultrasound, wireless Fukuda Denshi telemetry, CT, MRI, C-arm, and advanced ventilator technology, alongside an on-site Antech reference laboratory with a clinical pathologist.
