Job Description Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate
Mammography Technologist
to join our team at Riverton Hospital on a PRN basis. In this role, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using specialized imaging equipment. You’ll collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality imaging and exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Maintain ARRT certification and modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
Ensure accurate patient identification and order verification; prepare patients for exams.
Perform mammography exams per department protocols, including advanced procedures such as:
Stereotactic biopsies
Clip placements
Drainages
Demonstrate proper positioning techniques and operate equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns with empathy.
Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
Complete documentation accurately, including patient records and procedure details.
Follow protocols for coding, charging, consents, quality control, and equipment reporting.

Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Licenses & Certifications: ARRT Certification; State Radiologic Technologist License; BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
Preferred Qualifications
ARRT Mammography Certification or currently enrolled in formal mammography training
Location Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital, Riverton, Utah
Physical Requirements
Identify equipment and supplies; frequent interaction with patients and staff; strong visual and verbal communication.
Manual dexterity to operate equipment; perform documentation.
Lift and transfer patients and equipment; mobility in crowded environments.
May be required to stand for extended periods.
