Overview
Location: 100 Grand Street, New Britain (10126). Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week with weekends off-holiday adjustments noted.

Our Emergency Department is a 47-bed unit serving approximately 80,000–85,000 patients per year, known for efficient, collaborative, patient-centric care.
If you are compassionate, organized, calm under pressure, patient, and have strong critical thinking and communication skills, we would like to speak with you. Our nurses work in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams focused on patient-centered care.
Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and medical staff direction. The RN develops a plan of care using the nursing process to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an Emergency Department setting in accordance with standards of practice.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
Utilize evidence-based practices and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to meet physical and emotional needs of patients and families.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and effective verbal and written communication.
Manage and organize multiple clinical priorities and delegate appropriately to achieve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
RN with current Connecticut license required
BSN preferred
Experience in Emergency Medicine preferred
New graduates may work under supervision per State guidelines
