Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
to join our
OMH Youth ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) program . The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges, delivering care in the clinic, in the community, and at home.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations in clinic, home, mobile van, and community settings.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy, medication management, and referrals as appropriate.
Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while managing side effects and interactions.
Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Provide education to youth and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, coping strategies, and wellness practices.
Advocate for youth and families within the healthcare system and community services.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to program development.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Current
NYS Professional Registered Nurse license
required.
NYS Nurse Practitioner Certification
required.
MSN in Psychiatry & Mental Health
required (minimum).
Experience in pediatric behavioral health with strong knowledge of psychiatric and co-occurring disorders required.
Proficiency with
Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
systems required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong therapeutic communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Salary:
$145,000 - $155,000; Grant Funded Program
