Providing professional and technical guidance to subordinate nursing staff and participates in all management functions of the nursing department. IP collaborates and consults with physicians, managers, and staff for the management and prevention of infectious diseases. Plan, organize, develop, and direct all staff development educational programs throughout the facility. Providing learning opportunities that will enable all employees to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform their assigned duties safely and effectively. Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing and Administrator. Qualifications
A professionally trained nurse that has earned a certificate/diploma or degree in nursing. Ability to work independently or part of a group. Leadership experience Communication skills Computer knowledge. Previous long-term care experience is required. License
Must have an active RN Registered Nurse license in Connecticut. Employment type
