Cleveland Clinic’s M71 Acute Care Lymphoma and Myeloma Unit cares for adult patients undergoing targeted cancer and radiation therapies. This dedicated team is focused on diagnosing and treating many various malignancies and hematologic diseases and is at the forefront of new, emerging clinical trials and cancer research. Many caregivers in this unit have become chemotherapy competent and received chemo/biotherapy certifications. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. A caregiver in this role works nights, 11:00pm—7:30am with every other holiday and weekend requirement. Minimum qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval Will consider military RN experience Preferred qualifications

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Physical requirements

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment
