Job Description
Parsons is now accepting applications for our Fall 2025 Bridge Engineering Co‑Op position, with opportunities in our Akron and Cincinnati offices.
What You’ll Be Doing
Determining creative and innovative methods and solutions for complex bridge engineering problems and selecting the most efficient and economical manner to achieve objectives
Assuring that the designs comply with approved Federal, State, and local agency requirements as well as accepted industry practices and procedures
Providing specifications, estimations, quantity calculations, technical reports, and detailed engineering analyses
Reviewing supplier drawing submittals and performing technical bid analyses
Preparing and issuing specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents
May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or act as a design engineer for intermediate to large scale projects
Required Skills
Prior transportation or structural engineering coursework
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
Interest and ability to work on multiple bridge or roadway projects at once
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High knowledge level of MS Office tools, CAD proficiency (MicroStation preferred), and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industry standards and applicable engineering software
Desired Skills
